• Basilico Italiano reminds me of the flavors I grew up with as a Jersey girl. Don’t miss the homemade tiramisu!

• North Italia and Sixty Vines (multiple locations) are always solid choices—great vibes and super knowledgeable staff.

• Inizio Pizza (also multiple locations) is a casual gem for dine-in or takeout.

Special Spot:

• Aria in Uptown will always be close to my heart—it’s where I celebrated my surprise 50th! The food and service were top-notch.

Tapas:

• Catalu is a must for tapas—trust me, don’t skip the pan con tomate and grilled asparagus. Their paella Valenciana is the closest I’ve had to the real deal from Valencia, Spain. Worth it!

• Flower Child (multiple locations) is a go-to for our family, especially with dietary restrictions—it’s perfect for vegetarians, pescatarians, and anyone looking for fresh, fast, flavorful options.

Current Thai Favorite:

• Thai Taste hits the mark every time—but trust me, go easy on the spice level.

Cafés & Sweets:

• You’ll often find me at Amelie’s (mini tarts so you can try them all), Vavela Café (beautiful decor), or Sunflour Baking Company (multiple locations, give extra time for long lines). All are perfect for a quick pick-me-up or a sweet treat.
